Committed to Nevada
Piteau is adding value to many Nevada-based projects in 2020.
From Elko to Ely, and Reno to Tonapah, Piteau is helping clients:
Build their geotechnical databases by carrying out several geotechnical field data collection programs involving geotechnical core logging, laboratory and PLI testing, and borehole televiewer orientation of structures.
Conducting terrestrial-based photogrammetry for development of 3D models and identification of large scale structures and structural fabric.
Preparing scoping-level conceptual to prefeasibility and feasibility level open pit slope design studies for new open pits and pit slope expansions for several clients.
When hazards occur, Piteau can assist with review of geotechnical and slope monitoring data for characterization of instability mechanism, development of monitoring and alarm thresholds, design of safe mitigation structures.
Collecting baseline field data, reviewing historical datasets, and has several pump-tests planned for characterization of hydrogeological models.
Bi-annual geotechnical inspections/audits are typically conducted for several mines in the spring and fall seasons.
