Hydrogeology
We have completed many physical hydrogeological and water quality assessments in support of dam safety, ground disposal of effluent, landfill monitoring, excavation dewatering, stormwater management, and seepage control.
Contaminated Sites
Piteau Associates’ contaminated sites experience includes assessment and remediation for large and highly complex industrial properties with a legacy of historic activities (e.g., rail yards), forensic investigations, and expert witnessing.

We are seeking a geological or civil engineering or geosciences co-op student to assist engineering staff in our Canadian Hydro Group at our North Vancouver office for a four or eight month work term commencing May 2024. This temporary position offers the opportunity to work with experienced engineers and hydrogeologists, and exposure to a wide variety of project activities that may include:
Pit slope depressurization, pit dewatering and groundwater component of environmental impact assessments for operating and proposed mines;
Groundwater supply development and liquid waste disposal for municipalities, First Nations communities, and developers;
Construction dewatering design for civil and industrial infrastructure development; and
Development and implementation of groundwater monitoring programs.
Willingness to learn and take on challenging assignments (some involving travel), along with excellent work habits and communication skills, are essential. A valid driver’s license is also required.
