We are seeking a geological or civil engineering or geosciences co-op student to assist engineering staff in our Canadian Hydro Group at our North Vancouver office for a four or eight month work term commencing May 2024. This temporary position offers the opportunity to work with experienced engineers and hydrogeologists, and exposure to a wide variety of project activities that may include:

  • Pit slope depressurization, pit dewatering and groundwater component of environmental impact assessments for operating and proposed mines;

  • Groundwater supply development and liquid waste disposal for municipalities, First Nations communities, and developers;

  • Construction dewatering design for civil and industrial infrastructure development; and

  • Development and implementation of groundwater monitoring programs.

Willingness to learn and take on challenging assignments (some involving travel), along with excellent work habits and communication skills, are essential. A valid driver’s license is also required.
