Amazon Best Socio-Environmental Practices Activity

Mark Smith recently took part in a conference in Lima and Bogota in August 2019, entitled Amazon Best Socio-Environmental Practices Activity.  The events were sponsored by the US Agency for International Development, and were developed to promote environmental and social best management practices.  The conferences were well attended by the both mining, and construction/infrastructure driven companies, as well as businesses, governments and civil society organizations.   Mark Smith gave two lectures at the events: Risk Assessments for Tailings Management, and In Situ Bio-treatment for Heap Closure.
